As we all continue to age, we struggle to find ways to help keep ourselves physically and mentally fit. One of the huge benefits of Ballroom dancing, is that it engages both your mind and body: strengthening your balance and coordination, along with continually interacting with and challenging your mind. Perhaps one of the best aspects of Ballroom dancing is that it is so universal- as it is an activity that allows each individual to work at their own level.
A recent story by PIX 11 News out of New York, reported a new study from the New England Journal of Medicine which found that “frequent participation in ballroom dancing lead to a 76% risk reduction in dementia,” (PIX 11 News).
